Guided by the Full Moon in Sagittarius

The Moon became full at 9 degrees of Sagittarius on May 31st at 10:46 am CEST, early in Gemini season, when the Sun illuminates curiosity, communication, and learning. The Sagittarius Full Moon reminds us that facts, while endlessly interesting, can only take us so far. At some point, we need to step back to see the forest for the trees, asking what it all means and trusting what rings true.

Winds of change

The Full Moon opposes Uranus in Gemini, adding to the wild, visionary energy of Sagittarius. We may find ourselves in a conversation, or struck by an idea or realization that disrupts our sense of purpose and direction. Something in us wants to change, to think and move freely, to feel more alive, and the Full Moon is bringing it to light.

The Full Moon also trines Neptune in Aries and sextiles Pluto in Aquarius — opening our inner life and imagination and renewing our spiritual and creative vision, inspiring surrender to deep releasing processes, and empowering a sensitive, compassionate way of being in the world.

Connecting with all three outer planets, the Full Moon activates the minor grand trine forming between them this summer, where Uranus in Gemini trines Pluto in Aquarius, while both sextile Neptune in Aries — expanding our lives in new directions, which can feel equally exciting and overwhelming. With the outer planets connecting across fire and air signs between 2025 and 2027, we’re moving through a period of fast change, calling forth our courage, curiosity, and unwavering vision, especially in the houses of our birth charts activated by this alignment.

The minor grand trine already peaked last summer, with Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto connecting at 1 degree of their signs. It will peak again in July, when they connect at 4 degrees, and for a third and final time in June of 2027 at 6 degrees. If you have any planets or angles at or near 4 degrees of Aries, Gemini, or Aquarius, this upcoming peak will be more personal for you.

The Full Moon is anchored by a trine to Saturn in Aries, stabilizing the energies rushing in on the minor grand trine and helping to bring new paths into focus and new adventures into being, while asking us to let old familiar structures fall away.

Good luck

The Full Moon in Sagittarius exchanges signs with its host, Jupiter in Cancer, inspiring feelings of wellbeing, a sense of abundant resources, and genuine concern for others. With exalted Jupiter watching over this lunation, our Sagittarian aspirations are deeply nourished and blessed with extra abundance and luck — opening us to the wisdom of the heart and drawing us toward connections that truly uplift.

Jupiter widely conjoins Venus, who moved into Cancer on May 19th and will stay here until June 13th. Venus will come together with Jupiter at 25 degrees of Cancer on June 9th — a highlight of the astrological year. The Venus-Jupiter field is beginning to work its magic at this Full Moon: helping us to feel, enjoy, and celebrate the love, beauty, and friendship around us.

If you have any planets or angles at or near 25 degrees of Cancer, consider yourself blessed in at least one area of your life. You might also see these gifts land in the Taurus and Libra houses of your birth chart.

Make sure to step outside after sunset and look west to find Venus and Jupiter drawing closer together each night, building toward their conjunction. They're the sky’s two brightest planets right now, impossible to miss — Venus a brilliant white, Jupiter a little fainter with a warmer glow beside it. You’ll know them when you see them.

Mercury, planet of thought, will move into Cancer on June 1st, squaring Neptune on June 4th and Saturn on June 10th — a day after the Venus-Jupiter conjunction, activating the same area of our charts and lives. Tap into the Mercury-Saturn field to get clear about what's opening up with Venus and Jupiter — and commit to it.
