Your heart knows the way at the Pisces Lunar Eclipse
Dear Reader,
I hope you’re having a good end to summer (assuming you’re in the Northern Hemisphere) and allowing yourself to feel whatever this watery eclipse is bringing to the surface. My summer has been going by way too quickly, and I’m longing for more time to just be under the warm sun, read poetry, and visit wild horses.
How are you feeling?
Guided by the Pisces Lunar Eclipse
Today’s Full Moon in Pisces is also a total lunar eclipse, with the Moon passing directly through Earth’s “blood-red” shadow, visible across Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia if skies are clear. The Moon in Pisces opposes the Sun in Virgo at 8:09 pm CET (convert to your local time here).
Floating between two New Moons in Virgo, this eclipse illuminates the Piscean realms of creativity, compassion, and spiritual connection and guides us out of our heads and into our hearts. Receptive, imaginative, and sensitive to subtle currents, the Moon in Pisces knows how to draw from dreams and flow states to nourish our inner depths and visionary gifts.
Shadow Pisces can get lost in confusion, overwhelm, and wishful thinking. If you’re feeling flooded with feelings or pulled in too many directions, it’s time to pause. Take a nap, immerse yourself in water, or listen to a guided meditation — whatever helps your feelings flow and brings you back to your inner knowing.

What makes this Pisces Lunar Eclipse special
1
Watching over the eclipse is Jupiter, who has been traveling through Cancer since early June. The Moon is in Jupiter’s sign, applying to a flowing trine with Jupiter, and in a mutual reception with Jupiter — the two being in each other’s signs — creating a lovely connection. Jupiter is providing us with support to tap into our emotions, moods, and memories and navigate whatever the eclipse is stirring up in our lives with gentleness, heartfelt care, and the help of our intuition.
Mars is still closely squaring Jupiter, potentially disrupting our search for greater wellbeing and creating impatience when reality doesn’t match our expanded vision of what’s possible. On the other hand, Mars might be providing just enough discomfort to prompt us to act on whatever is being revealed during the eclipse.

Saturn moved back into Pisces on September 1st, shifting focus away from its configuration with Neptune in Aries, Uranus in Gemini, and Pluto in Aquarius. This returns our attention to the Pisces part of our charts, where we’re asked to do the very real work of creating an even more beautiful vision for what’s possible and to trust where our intuition is guiding us.
We’re coming back to something we pressed pause on at the end of May, when Saturn moved into Aries. From now until mid February, our task is to finish up an old chapter that started in March 2023, when Saturn first moved into Pisces.
What old issues are coming back into your awareness?
What do you still need to work through?
Where are you being asked to tidy up your vision for the future?
Saturn will go all the way back to 25 degrees of Pisces. If you have natal planets or points late in any mutable sign (Pisces, Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius), Saturn’s return to Pisces will be more personal for you as those placements will receive more passes from Saturn.

The day before the eclipse, Uranus, stationed retrograde in Gemini for the first time since entering in early July. This concentration of Uranian energy is adding to the wild, unpredictable energy of eclipses and might offer clues about what Uranus’ time in Gemini (until 2033) will awaken in each of our lives.
Notice what’s happening in your life right now around Geminian themes — learning, communicating, and sharing knowledge and ideas — especially in the areas connected to the Gemini house in your birth chart. This is where Uranus is guiding you to try something new and waking you up to more freedom, play, and possibility.

The Pisces Lunar Eclipse and YOU
This eclipse is part of a larger story that started a year ago, when we had the first eclipse in the Virgo-Pisces eclipse cycle, which will continue until 2027. Look back to last September, the last time we had an eclipse in Pisces: what was happening then and has been unfolding since that you might be ready to revisit now, especially when it comes to the Pisces house in your birth chart?
What have you outgrown?
What are you seeing in a new light?
What are you ready to release?
The Lunar Eclipse takes place at 15 degrees of Pisces. If you have key planets or points in your birth chart near 15 degrees in any mutable sign (Pisces, Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius), this eclipse affects you more personally.
For all of us, turning to what feels calming and grounding and making space for processing our emotions can be supportive around the eclipse. Prioritize rest and gentle creative and spiritual practices to help you stay centered, grounded, and open to whatever insights may arise.
Until next time...
I’m looking forward to writing to you again at the New Moon and Solar Eclipse in Virgo on September 21st, which will bring a renewed focus to practical matters, daily routines, and the details that ground our dreams.
In the meantime, I’m wishing you pockets of relaxation and reflection wherever you are!
