Virgo New Moon — Time to take good care
Dear reader,
The New Moon in Virgo is on its way. As always, before it arrives, I invite you to close out the Leo lunar cycle (August 12th – September 11th) with some gentle reflection, gathering what’s ripe with gratitude and letting the rest fall back to the earth.
✎ What was here for you?
✎ What are you grateful for?
Guided by the New Moon in Virgo
The Moon renews itself at 18 degrees of Virgo on September 11th at 5:26 am CEST, and with it, our ability to listen to the world, our attention to detail, and our patience and reverence for process. Virgo reminds us that our lives are made of small moments, and that tending each one is a life well lived.
The New Moon sits in a supportive sextile with Mars in Cancer, the Moon’s own sign, inviting us to lean into belonging and connection. To trust that what we already know and have is enough to bring us closer — without over-thinking, over-preparing, or second-guessing ourselves. We don’t have to be perfect, or have everything figured out, to show that we care.
Mercury, ruler of the New Moon, is in Libra, completing a kite with the three slowest-moving planets in our solar system: opposing Neptune in Aries and trining Uranus in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius, who connect in a rare minor grand trine that defines the 2020s and peaks between 2025 and 2027.
Mercury activates that outer-planet pattern, making this an important New Moon cycle for making sense of the disruptive, disorienting, disturbing, potent, revelatory, invigorating times we’re in — understanding that comes through the lens of beauty, balance, harmony, and justice.

Until next time...
I’m looking forward to writing again as we draw closer to the Full Moon in Aries on September 26th at 6:49 pm CEST. It marks the halfway point of this lunar cycle and the peak of lunar light, when, with a little luck, what was seeded at this New Moon comes into bloom.
In the meantime, you can take the questions from this newsletter with you on your walk, into your journal, or wherever else feels right. I hope they tickle you and help you weave yourself into the mystery of this Virgo New Moon.
