Time to link hearts at the Leo Full Moon
Dear Reader,
Today’s Full Moon arrives close to the Aquarius Cross-Quarter—the midpoint between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox, marking the heart of winter in the Northern Hemisphere.
This year, the exact Winter Cross-Quarter falls on February 3rd at 9:03 pm Central European Time, when the Sun reaches the middle of Aquarius. It’s the dawn of the year, also known as Imbolc, the ancient Celtic festival of light.
Though the air may still be cold and the soil frozen, we’re receiving more sunlight each day. The return of the light is quickening, early signs of new life are emerging, and we’re filling with new possibilities.
I usually receive a message during this time of year—a word or phrase, a song, or an image to guide me. This year, I was drawn into my heart field and reminded of my connection with the heart fields of the Earth, the Sun, and humanity. Heart fields shall guide me through the year—perhaps you, too.
As always, you can find the dates, times, and energetic signatures for all eight solar holidays of 2026 here.

Guided by the Full Moon in Leo
The Full Moon peaks at 13 degrees Leo today, February 1st, at 11:10 pm CET, shining a light on our creative expression and the power of art to tend and transform our world. Amid major changes unfolding in the world, we’re encouraged to center in our hearts and move with more love, kindness, and courage.
*
The Full Moon opposes the Sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Pluto, all in Aquarius. The first four conjoined Pluto at 3 degrees Aquarius over the last third of January, revealing some of our deepest fears and vulnerabilities, and helping us heal and transform ourselves and the world around us.
The Sun, ruler of Leo and presiding deity of this Full Moon—along with the other planets in Aquarius—is ruled by Saturn at the tail end of Pisces. Before Saturn joins Neptune in Aries on February 14th, we’re closing out a three-year chapter in our lives. What have you learned in the Pisces house of your birth chart? How have you matured emotionally since March 2023?
*
Neptune entered Aries on January 26th and will stay here until 2039. The planet of ideals, dreams, and visions, in fiery Aries, is asking us to dream boldly and act on our vision for the future, especially in our Aries house. We had a preview of Neptune in Aries between March and October last year. What is your new dream for the world, and what are you willing to do about it?
*
Uranus is slowing down to station direct on February 4th, amplifying our desire to be free from what confines us. All planets moving through Aquarius will go on to square Uranus next: Mercury on February 5th, Venus on the 8th, the Sun on the 16th, and Mars on the 27th—helping us reinvent ourselves and receive radically new insights, if we can stay grounded.
The Full Moon opposes Mercury and Venus next, which conjoined at 14 degrees Aquarius three days ago, on January 29th. Both Mercury and Venus are already applying to a square with Uranus. This Full Moon is here to help us change our perspectives on love, have conversations about what we value, and channel our fears into art.
This will be Uranus’s last station in Taurus before entering Gemini in late April. With Uranus about to leave Taurus, we’re getting one of the last activations of our Uranus in Taurus story, as we begin to wrap up this chapter in our lives that began in May of 2018. What has been changing in your Taurus house? What has been broken down or broken through?
*
Leo will play a bigger role again later this year, when Jupiter moves into Leo in June (staying for one year), a Solar Eclipse arrives in Leo in August (with another a year later), and Mars enters Leo in September, spending an unusually long time there due to its retrograde.
